The CPU board contains a microprocessor and RAM memory, real-time clock, LED indicator lights, INIT button, and CompactFlash interface. The PM858 controller has 2RJ45 Ethernet interfaces (CN1, CN2) and 2RJ45 ports (COM3, COM4) on the backplane, which are used to connect to the control network. One of the serial ports (COM3) is an RS-232C port with a modem control signal, The other port (COM4) is windowed and used to connect configuration tools. The control/controller supports PU redundancy, providing higher availability (CPU, Cex bus, communication interface, and S800 1/0).
Simple DIN rail connection/separation program, using unique sliding and locking mechanisms. All backplanes have a unique Ethernet address that provides a hardware identifier for each CPU. The location can be found on the Ethernet address label on the TP830 backplane.
